What I most love about reading is how I get to step into someone else's life. It's fun if the book reminds me of times in my own life, and it's exciting to do things I've never done before, but reading about them makes them a part of me, too. I also love to learn about people, and while people will always be more amazing and diverse than even the greatest writer can show, it's still a glimpse into the wonders of the human race.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite author is Melina Marchetta. I've read three of her books, all contemporary, and they've been some of my favourite and most memorable reads. I love the way her characters are so relatable and seem like teenagers from real life, I love the way she develops friendships and relationships, the romances are the most natural progressions and she does it without discarding friendships and secondary characters. Somehow there's this perfect balance. I can't wait to dive into her fantasy series and I'm definitely looking forward to more of her work!
